We are thrilled to announce that INPEACE has been awarded a generous $1,000,000 capital grant from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. This significant contribution will support the establishment of the INPEACE Community Hub, a permanent homebase dedicated to fostering educational equity and economic enhancement on the Leeward Coast.
The INPEACE Community Hub will serve as a centralized location for a variety of programs aimed at improving the well-being of individuals and families in our community. Our vision includes expanding our programming footprint to increase visibility and enhance our capacity to serve the Waianae Coast community more effectively. The Community Hub will offer post-secondary supports for aspiring teachers, culture-based education for youth, financial capabilities workshops for individuals, and entrepreneurship support for families.
“INPEACE continues to create opportunities that honor and nurture the strengths of the next generation of educators and entrepreneurs,” said Ian Simoy, a program officer at the Weinberg Foundation. “We are proud to support this community hub, which will help people to grow their job skills, pursue their career aspirations, and contribute to the vibrant communities in the Leeward Coast and across Hawaii for years to come.”
This grant from the Weinberg Foundation will play a crucial role in the continued revitalization of the Leeward Coast economy. By providing a dedicated space for these essential programs, we can ensure that more community members have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.
We look forward to the positive impact this grant will have on our community and are excited to embark on this new chapter in our journey. Thank you to the Weinberg Foundation for believing in our mission and helping us make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve.
