At Keiki Steps, learning is a shared journey. Caregivers and their keiki—from birth to age five—learn alongside one another through Hawaiian culture-based experiences focused on literacy, numeracy, school readiness, and family connection.
INPEACE received a $125,000 grant from the Kosasa Foundation will help protect and strengthen this special learning environment. This funding will go towards Keiki Steps programming for the next year, allowing Native Hawaiian keiki and ʻohana to continue accessing free, high-quality early education.
This grant will also support INPEACE in bringing Family-Child Interactive Learning programs together to explore sustainable funding approaches and organizational models. This collaborative work is especially important as early childhood programs face uncertainty surrounding federal funding.
