Kupu Ola collaborates with schools to create alternative learning approaches that focus on strengthening academic and personal confidence in youth through the integration of Native Hawaiian culture in outdoor classrooms and interactive learning activities.

Using an innovative approach, INPEACE has created a 3-year Strategic Plan, a culmination of a strategic planning process driven by the collective experience, knowledge, and community connections of our dedicated staff.
In December 2023, a significant milestone was reached in the realm of children’s literature with the launch of the Aloha ʻOhana Book Series. This groundbreaking series, crafted by the dedicated staff of Keiki Steps, marks a pivotal moment in celebrating and preserving the rich cultural heritage of Hawai’i.
In the ever-changing landscape of education, two schools, Barber’s Point Elementary and Nānākuli High & Intermediate, are pioneering transformative change in collaboration with INPEACE through their innovative Community Schools initiatives. These strategic approaches aim to cultivate a “Greater Together” mindset, harnessing the strengths and resources within their respective communities to empower students, families, and staff.
Chasity Cabral, a first-time mom, first learned about the Hiʻilei program while attending Kaulele’s Kapa Exhibit at Ka Makana Aliʻi. She stumbled upon a brochure that outlined the program’s offerings, and it piqued her interest. As a new mother, Chasity ardently sought guidance on her child’s learning and development. She longed for a supportive community where she could freely ask questions, gain insight into her child’s development, and find support for her growing ʻohana.
The mission of INPEACE is to improve the quality of life for Native Hawaiians through community partnerships that provide educational opportunities and promote self-sufficiency.
