Our organization received a grant award of $300,000 from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation. This award to INPEACE will support the Center 4 Entrepreneurship (C4E) program which is part of our Family Economic Capacity Building impact area.
Focusing on the power of youth to drive and inspire positive change, this funding will support our ‘Ōpio Ventures in Business project. We will be able to nurture the entrepreneurial spirit for youth from single-headed households in business development through the exploration of business ideas, developing their business structure and framework and networking with other young business owners to help them move towards an economic stability.
“This funding will provide valuable resources and support that create a space that is engaging and fun for youth and their ‘ohana to learn and grow in their business. The key to the success of this program will be the ability to provide access to mentors and business coaches that will have the ability to “Hold their hand” while navigating the journey of becoming a small business owner. Mahalo Nui to The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation for their commitment in elevating the next generation of Entrepreneurs!” Lisa Pakele, Center for Entrepreneurship Program Director
