Kaulele seeks to create informal STEM learning opportunities through indigenous Hawaiian knowledge that connects modern and traditional science to help young learners engage, connect to and succeed in STEM academics and occupations.
Kupu Ola collaborates with schools to create alternative learning approaches that focus on strengthening academic and personal confidence in youth through the integration of Native Hawaiian culture in outdoor classrooms and interactive learning activities.

Our Ka Lama team is excited to invite you to ʻIke Kaiāulu-A Summer Huakaʻi Series exclusively provided to Ka Lama Education Academy participants!
Huakaʻi #3 will connect you with Nā Kama Kai- a Waiʻanae based non-profit that prepares the next generation of Hawaiʻi’s youth to be stewards of the kai (ocean) and ‘āina (land), educating them in ocean safety, environmental stewardship, and hoʻokele (wayfinding).
Letʻs connect and give back while learning about one of the unique educational resources available to our community that can be utilized to discover meaningful STEM and culture-based educational experiences.

Registration for this course is only for Ka Lama Education Academy participants.
Event registration is required to provide accurate head counts to our huakaʻi site host.
Participation in this huakaʻi will count as a workshop fulfillment for Ka Lama participation requirements.
This event is a part of a series of huakaʻi. Participants are only allowed to choose ONE huakaʻi out of the 3 offered.
