The INPEACE Center for Entrepreneurship supports new family-owned business start-ups on the Leeward Coast of O‘ahu to increase their capacity to succeed. The project provides intensive individual supports, personal and business finance training, 1-on-1 coaching, access to business micro loans, peer networking, business equipment, administrative back-office support, specialized services, and expert mentors.
Since 2015, INPEACE has helped over individuals refine their ideas and acquire the knowledge and skills needed to decide whether or not it was viable to continue or start a small business. Through intensive services and supportive relationships, numerous West O‘ahu families have established new start-up businesses, obtaining and registering their business licenses.
As a grassroots non-profit organization with deep community relations and experience working in rural, low-income communities, we have firsthand experience with the socioeconomic struggles these communities face. The need to diversify and develop community grown small businesses is one of the keys to strengthening the economic well-being of a community. Our goal is to build on local talent, create new earning options for families, and strengthen the economic foundations for families. We believe that on-going support and skill development for new business owners to continually strengthen business acumen can dramatically increase stability and impact the well-being and outcomes for families.
