Crocker Catalyst Foundation Grant Supports Early Literacy Program

We are thrilled to announce that our Early Literacy program has been awarded a generous grant from the Crocker Catalyst Foundation! This funding marks a significant milestone in our journey to foster a love for reading and learning among young children in our communities.

Early literacy is the foundation for a child’s educational success. Research shows that children who develop strong reading skills at a young age are more likely to excel academically and have better opportunities in life. Our program provides resources, support, and engaging activities to help childcare providers, families and children develop these crucial skills. This aligns with Crocker Catalyst Foundation’s mission “to be a catalyst that empowers individuals and organizations to attain health, educational, artistic, and humanitarian outcomes that otherwise may not have been possible.”

With this grant, we will be able to:

· Expand Our Library: We will add a diverse range of books to our collection, ensuring that children have access to stories that reflect their experiences and broaden their horizons.

· Enhance Our Programs: We will introduce new workshops and interactive sessions designed to make reading fun and engaging for children and their families.

· Provide Training: We will offer professional development opportunities for our educators, equipping them with the latest strategies and tools to support early literacy development.
