The Freeman Foundation Fund of the Hawai’i Community Foundation Awards $75,000

We are thrilled to announce that INPEACE’s Hoʻāla program has been awarded a generous $75,000 grant from the Freeman Foundation Fund of the Hawaiʻi Community Foundation. This grant will be used to provide critical tuition subsidies for keiki ages 0-5 or infant to preschool age, helping families access high-quality early education and support.

At INPEACE, we believe that investing in the earliest years of a child’s life lays the foundation for lifelong learning and success. However, we know that the costs of early education can be a significant burden for many families, especially in Hawai’i, where the cost of living is high. This is why we are so grateful for the Freeman Foundation’s commitment to supporting our goal of providing equitable access to quality education.

The Freeman Foundation, through the Hawaii Community Foundation, has long been a champion of education community support in Hawai’i. Their belief in the power of education aligns with INPEACE’s vision of empowering families and communities through culturally responsive programs. This grant will allow us to reach more families in need, providing the resources and support they deserve.

“We extend our heartfelt mahalo to the Freeman Foundation Fund and the Hawai’i Community Foundation for their continued support of the work we do. We are excited to seeing the positive impact this grant will have on the lives of the keiki and families we serve.” ~ Michelle Mahuka, Program Director
