We are excited to announce that INPEACE has received a generous $50,000 Challenge Grant from Parents as Teachers National Center to support our Hiʻilei program and strengthen Native Hawaiian maternal and infant well-being!
Hiʻilei provides educational home visits where parents meet with a Parents as Teachers-certified educator to learn about early childhood development and build the skills and confidence to be their child’s first and best teacher.
This funding will support workshops led by Native Hawaiian cultural practitioners, allowing educators and leaders to deepen their ancestral knowledge of maternal and infant well-being. Participants will use this ʻike to strengthen their work with mothers, babies, and ʻohana and share what they have learned through a final hōʻike.

This award will help us honor the ʻike of our kūpuna while building healthy beginnings and strong foundations for our keiki and ʻohana!
